North Yorkshire Sport

Everything Autism is working jointly with North Yorkshire Sport in order to deliver free training to sports and movement organisations to help them ensure their organisations are accessible and inclusive to Neurodivergent people.

This need was highlighted following research which identified that both coaches/organisation leaders did not feeling confident in supporting neurodivergent people access their organisation and neurodivergent people reporting that they felt apprehensive or unable to access such groups.

Everything Autism has received £4,500 from David Skaith, Mayor of York and North Yorkshire and York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority to generate and deliver three training workshops across the district for sport and movement organisations. Training will reflect on both professional and lived experience, amplifying neurodivergent voices and will support participants in thinking about their own knowledge, their individual club and environment. It will support participants to develop inclusive spaces which support neurodivergent people in a neuro affirming way.

Training workshops are set to run in 2027. We are extremely excited to be part of this project and can’t wait to get going!
